Meeting Minutes

1. Principal Update
-Kathy Hommes will join the council as teacher representative for the upper grades.
-4th/5th grade split class has been dissolved as there are 40 more students this year than projected.
-55% of K-3 students are reading at a good level.
-Air conditioning being tested this weekend.
-New water filters installed on drinking fountains.
-Wi-fi throughout the school.
-Budget was reviewed. Total budget is $35,276.23, of which $29,175.42 will go to salaries and benefits (classroom aides and substitutes for teacher training), $1,000 will go to conference registration for training, $2,558.05 will go to teacher editions of Go Math, $1,342.76 will go to a site license for Imagine It, and $1,200.00 will go to upgrade computers.
2. PTA Update
Several upcoming activities including: Box Tops, book fair, Author Thal Dixon Fundraiser, and Reflections kick-off assembly. They are also trying to increase membership.
3. School Student Achievement Plan
The plan is available on-line to view.
4. School Land Trust Plan
The plan is available on-line to view.
5. Meetings for this year/New chair
Meetings will be held on the first Friday of every month. Nicole Wilson will remain as chair and Gary Mower will take meeting minutes.
